- A conflict between the U.S. and China is predicted to destroy the possibilities of organized life on Earth; survival of human society is deemed very unlikely unless the two nations reach an accommodation and cooperate to address borderless global problems such as environmental destruction, pandemics, and the threat of nuclear war.
- Escalation toward nuclear war is anticipated if the West pursues a strategy of total defeat for Russia, risking the use of weapons Vladimir Putin has not yet deployed against Ukraine, or if the U.S. continues encircling China with heavily armed sentinel states and major naval operations which increase the threat level.
- U.S. internal stability faces severe challenges due to division and a decline in democratic functioning dating from the late 1970s or early 1980s, where life expectancy has declined, mortality has increased, and the U.S. holds among the worst health outcomes of developed societies.
- The Republican Party is expected to continue drifting off the political spectrum to block legislation in order to regain power, resulting in further democratic decline and increased violence, while the Supreme Court is characterized as the most reactionary in memory with decisions aiming to create a nation of White supremacist Christian nationalists.
