Recent policy shifts and private investments have targeted critical gaps in women's health, following a White House initiative to fund research and a SteelSky-led advocacy push for $12 billion in congressional approval. Despite these efforts, severe disparities persist, including an 18% higher out-of-pocket cost for women, a 20% maternal mortality gap for Black women, and a clinical trial landscape where women of color remain severely underrepresented. Industry leaders and investors are now pivoting toward personalized, lifecycle-focused solutions and "Food is Medicine" models to address systemic barriers while capitalizing on the economic imperative of supporting female health.
