Since 2006, the firm has pivoted its infrastructure strategy from traditional transport and utilities to prioritize digital assets, driven by a ten-year capital shift that recently concentrated on fiber networks and data centers. This transition was accelerated by the pandemic's demand for a contact-free economy, which exposed critical connectivity gaps in the UK and necessitated major investments to support remote work, healthcare, and e-learning. To address these regional disparities and foster economic recovery, the firm is now deploying fiber infrastructure across 100 cities to create approximately 10,000 jobs while advocating for regulatory frameworks that ensure fair pricing and rural access.
