The discussion highlighted how China's integrated tech-finance infrastructure and WeBank's low-cost, engineering-heavy model contrast with Westpac's venture-backed ecosystem strategy and Stripe's API-driven global adaptation. Participants concluded that future market evolution hinges on regulatory adjustments for data privacy, the standardization of QR interoperability, and the potential for biometric authentication to supersede traditional card rails.
