While coding benefits from a text-based substrate, most high-value domains lack the performance records necessary for models to generalize, meaning isolated algorithmic improvements will fail to produce transformative capabilities. Consequently, the path to advanced AI is predicted to be slower and more distributed, shifting strategic leverage toward entities that control deployment-grade data and necessitating a focus on serial economic engagement rather than purely internal R&D.
