Founded by Oscar Menjivar, the nonprofit Teens Exploring Technology (TXT) targets young Latino and Black men in South Central Los Angeles to dismantle systemic barriers through intensive coding education and community-specific product development. The organization has achieved a 100% graduation rate over the past five years, successfully launching alumni into top universities while fostering a self-sustaining cycle where graduates return to mentor new cohorts. By shifting local perceptions of possibility and leveraging a historical legacy of innovation, TXT aims to replicate the region's successes in music and sports within the technology sector.
